Registration When you arrive at the auction site, the first step is registration.  Registration is the process of getting a bidder's number, which is required to bid on items during the auction.  Name, address, phone and driver's license is all that is required to register and get a bidder's number at most auctions.
Terms and Conditions Please read all terms and conditions printed on the back of your bidder's card.
Preview An auction preview time is set a couple hours before the auction begins.  During the auction preview, potential buyers should carefully inspect items they are interested in bidding on.  Everything is sold "as is" with no guarantees of any kind.  Therefore, it's important to know the condition of the item before bidding.  The preview provides ample time and opportunity to check out the merchandise thoroughly.
Real Estate Previews Preview times for real estate generally take place over the course of several weeks, both at set times and by appointment.
Lot Numbers Each item is assigned its own number which is called a lot number.  This lot number can help you to identify the items you are interested in bidding on.
Reserves At times, a fair and reasonable reserve is placed on an item and will be noted on the lot number or in the catalog.
Absentee Telephone Bids If you are unable to attend the auction, you may leave an absentee or "left bid" on an item before the auction begins.  You may also bid by telephone for the items you are interested in.  Arrangements for these services must be made prior to the auction.
Bidding Once the auction begins, bidding is easy.  Simply raise your bidder's card when you wish to advance the bid on the item being sold.
Payment and Check Out ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AUCTION.  Bring your receipt to the designated "Check Out" area to claim the items you purchased.  A staff member will be on hand to assist you.
Sales Tax By State law, taxes must be collected on all purchases unless the appropriate sales tax resale certificate is presented at the time of payment.
